if you could only buy one kind of tire what would it be and why?

my tire of choice would be BFG ALL TERRAINS K/Os

good all around tire great in every terrain

There's no replacement for displacement:3gears:

My favorite to date, never have had a name brand AT to personally test. I was trying to decide on what to get when these popped up on closeout $50 cheaper than the cheapest no name AT I could find so I jumped on them. Did great in the snow last year, they are factory tires for a Jeep Rubicon.

Smoother than the Widetrack Baja AT's I had on the truck before, more aggressive than the General Ameritrack's it came with from the factory (which were junk)

They ride better and are quieter than either the Dunlop Mud Rovers that I had on my Ranger, and the Firestone Desination MT's that are on it now. The Firestones are pretty close though, being on a week they are rather untested though.

I have run BFG AT's, Muds and now Goodyear MTR/K's.

Hands down...the Goodyear!

ON AND OFF ROAD THESE ARE TOUGH TO BEAT . I RUN 33-12.50R15

My Favorite tires to run are the Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's I have a set of these used and got almost 50K out of them and they are still good (except for one due to a bad wheel bearing.) Did everything I wanted them to and more. Sand Mud snow...

Gonna go with the MTR K's as well... best overall tire I've run so far.

Only had 'em a few months so far (and no real mud experience yet), but I'm gonna put yet another vote in for the MT/R-K also. The QC on them seems much improved over the old (non-kevlar) MT/Rs I've had on my Ranger (more round, more true-to-size, tighter-fitting beads (at least there's been no slippage on the rims when aired down that I've observed, throwing their balance all out of whack)).

Omg I seen some humvee on base with brand new Goodyear mtr's and shiiiiiit, I was some 37's in that for my truck only for looks lol. I have only run BFG AT KO's and I'm happy. 265/75/16... Omg I rub though at full lock... I check today and there is 1/4 inch between rubber bumpstops and my lower control arms... Once that's fixed(funds available), I'm getting some goodyears with new rims to try them out. Cheaper then my BFG's, but BFG's cost 206 at my size cause they are awesome.

Only until you try any of the better tires, haha... don't worry I've been there too! :icon_twisted:

i personally like these->http://www.pepboys.com/tires/detail...3/FORDTRUCK/RANGERBRONCOII/0-V624540LOHV/404/ very similar tread pattern to the bfg a/t. made by cooper tire, marketed through pepboys. 5 years ago these were only about $53 per tire. my how things have gone up! they eat snow like theres no tommarrow, queit on pavement, good in the rain have a good treadlife and seem to do well in the dirt. as a mud tire, they are not. but for what i do, they work well for me.

idk, its looking more like general grabbers for me. i've never owned them-- but i've seen them preform compared to other tires. and for the trails/rocks and stuff that i'll be riding on-- they are hard to beat.

then its still tough fight b/t grabbers, km2's, and mtr's w/ kevlar.

Bridgestone Dueler REVO's. Much better in mud than BFG A/T's, great in snow, downside they wear out pretty fast.
