Hi, earlier today while at a junkyard, I found a Motorcraft 2100 1.08 venturi that was sitting on a shelf. Nothing on its seized, and almost complete except for the choke assembly. The only problem is that the metal piece that the fast idle cam pivots on has snapped off flush with the carb body. I know you can remove this because I tested it on a junk 2100 I had laying around. So any suggestions on taking this out? Thanks, Lucas.

A very tiny easy out?

Be about the only suggestion i have. But youd have to use surgical precision, the bodys of those carbs are softer then dog shit.

Ive stripped/broken/generally screwed up a few of them for various ill fated repair attempts.

Update: Got the pin out. Although things went south quickly. I began with using an easy out, then hammered on the carb with a block of wood, which 'unexpectedly' broke the easy out, flush also. Then I drilled out the hole with a slightly undersized drill bit. Then "resplined the hole" with the other pin from the junk 2100 I had laying. Surprisingly the carb body did not crack anywhere. The pin is square. Hopefully I can get the pin out of my 2150A without messing it up lol.
