Don't get louder, improve your argument.
Anybody know why my engine would send out a spike reading of 12,500 RPM? Using the BlueDriver OBD2 code reader.

Not a clue?

I have a BlueDriver and have never seen that glitch on any vehicle I have used it on
But in fairness I never really looked at RPM specifically for any length of time

There should be "RPM not matching" codes if computer is actually "seeing" the error
