im installing an aftermarket pionner HU in my new 09 ranger sport wondering if there is anyway to still be able to use the factory aux in port for my mp3 rather than running a new cord from the HU and have it dangling there and the factory aux in becomes useless

Doubtful. Run the new cord

well... i wouldn't go that far. it's possible, and i did it. BUT, what i did was just run the AUX input wire from the HU to where the factory AUX input is. i had to fabricate it a little to fit it in the housing... so instead of having it "dangling" i just routed it through the factory opening -- if that makes sense. i had just enough slack to get it through FYI. :icon_welder:
