I've been a member of TRS for about 6 months. I read the Forums daily and enjoy all your input. I learn more from this site than from reading manuals. By being vehicle specific, we all seem to have the same problems and the same questions.

What I don't like are the put-downs. They are not frequent but are still there. Lots of young folks on here that don't really have a clue but are ready to at least try some things. You have to have face time with your truck. The only way to learn is by doing. People are looking for advise, not to be denigrated.

Unfortunately the younger members are often the ones throwing the insults. Other times it is just some of the less educated people. Other times it's the stubborn ones. I say this to you. Be smart, admit what you don't know and when you ask a question, listen to the answer. Other than that, it's the internet. You need to be thick skinned here.

Unfortuntely, many people want to prove something to the world because they are either insecure, upset that others have more or better toys, or are just natural-born $hit disturbers...

The best thing is to use the ignore buttons on your control panel and don't post anything that sets you up for target practice from the morons...there are not that many here and most are actually pretty civil when you get to know their zookeepers...

in real life I walk with a cane, 5'7" and down to 206 pounds. still pack heat, gotta love the Utah non-resident conceal and carry permit.

i genuinely try not to bully people on the boards...but its hard when im an asshole by nature (ask my girlfriend if you dont believe me). at least i can admit it...thats the first step toward recovery, right?

i think a big problem with the net (besides e-bullys) is the fact that text doesnt convey human emotions. i know more than once someone was offended because they took a post of mine seriously that i meant light-heartedly. many of my posts are followed by or in an attempt to communicate my sarcasm...but it doesnt always work out.
