f150 coils in a 99 coil sprung 2wd ranger?????

alright so I have a 1999 ford ranger 3.0L 2wd with coils....

in 2013 my front left fabtech spindle snapped off..... so since then ive been searching for a better lift.... and going to 5.5 lift....

I found a HM Racing Design 5.5 lift for my ranger... I think its really for an 01 but anyway every bolts up... except the guy I bought everything from and by everything I mean upper control arms, spindles, tie rods, lower ball joints, rear bolts with u-bolts, and coils. its only missing the shocks.

I went to put everything on this past weekend and when all said and done it looked perfected until I backed up and pulled forward. when I did that everything fell 2 inches in the front and the truck looked like the suspension was in full compression.... wheels tucked like crazy... anyway we pull the coils out and found that they are the height has the factory coils......

im hoping all I need is coils and shocks and I can try to the lift back on..... but I was told that the 2wd f150 coils will fit my 2wd 99 ranger..... but I can find anyone else that has done this.... please help guys and yes Ive been doing my research and I cant find anything for my style truck...... please help guys

is it toe set correctly? radical toe out could draw it down rolling forward.




did you spec the springs? maybe that setup uses a different style spring.

so lift springs may be easier to deal with.


so the 05 style with a custom seat would get you a few inches simple enough.
