F150 coil springs results

People have been asking me what my results were when I put those F150 coil springs on. Simple

I see a jackstand under the truck in the second picture. Is the weight of the truck on the jackstand, or on the suspension? Was the lift only from using the F-150 coils? Also, how much did this throw off your camber?

I really am thinking about the f150 coils on my 85 ranger 2wd. That looks like exactly what I need to do! I have flared fenders on already and want to put my reservoirs on bad but I need some sort of lift more. That looks perfect. I'm going to try it!

I've been thinking of this. What, if any, mods did you do? How much lift did you gain? What's the ride like? Camber bushings changed? We need details!!! Anywho, , good job.

Here is a pic just sitting.

I got shocks off a F150 but that is it. I cut 1 spring tit off the passenger and 2 off the drivers side so the spring would seat well, you just have to turn them when you get them in there to get the best seat you can and make sure they set well on the back of the spring cradle bucket and used the oe spring retainer off the F150 so get it when your at the JY and I used the shock bracket bolts off the f150 and nuts to tighten it down after I drilled a hole to mount it. The guy said it was out about 3 degrees. and it crams the back, so I'm going to get some leafs of a exploder and raise the back a little. I think I gained a little over 2 inches.

Alignment guy called, said it was out 6 degrees, he said he put 3 degree shims in it and got it to about 2 degrees. He said drive it around for a week and see if it settles, and rotate the tires and if it doesn't settle then I can get the spring clamps and pull it down 1 inch and it should be perfect. I was trying raise it, now i got to lower it. He said if I had that 289 in there it would be perfect. I said soon my friend.....

He said it is at 2 degrees, and it might settle a little this week. But he said it was as in as far as it could go, and he used the biggest shim he could 3 degree. So if it doesn't settle after a couple of days, I will get some spring clamps and pull it down 1 inch, he said that would bring it into line. He said if i had 200 more pounds in it, it would be perfect, I told him I'm gonna drop a 289 later. He said I could cut the springs a little, but I told him I would just have to do it all over again we I put the bigger motor in it. He also said when I lift the back up it might put it right to cause of the transfer of weight. Who knows? We'll see. It is a lot better than it was, no scrubbing and no pulling now. It must have been out when I bought it.

Don't cut or use clamps on the springs. It'll screw it up, just deal with the camber. I drove with no alignment and saw no wear on my tires for the 6 months I had it lifted with f150 coils.
Plus they make 4 degree shims

Thanks bro, your rear end is going to need to be lifted when you do it. I'm going to get some exploder leaf springs and that should get me where I want to be. Good luck. Oh yeah get some 3 or 4 degree shims too and get ready to get it lined up.

I thought I would also write. 2 degree is the max for 2WD, but it's possible to do up to 3 by notching the beams, the turning radius is compromised as the upper ball joint socket on the knuckle hits the I beam and can break a ball joint when turning lock to lock.
