F150 coil springs results

What year exploder leafs are you going to get? What engine size as well? That thing looks AWESOME!! Well done!

i am thinking of doing the same thing.
but how much is it to get realigned?
and do the coils fit perfectly in???

looks nice.

It cost me $150.00 to get mine done. That was out the door with 3 degree shims. The springs line up good if you cut two of the spring retainer tabs off. You just gotta play with them and find the best fit. I put mine right where the old ones seated and it worked fine, just don't forget to get the spring retaining clips when you get your springs off the F150.

I'm not sure about f150 coils but i put explorer coils in my 83 and had no problems with brake lines and did not replace my shocks. Shouldn't have any problems with brake lines unless you go with more lift.

Did the explorer springs get you any lift? I'm considering doing the explorer leaf spring swap this summer and am trying to find something to match it in the front

I used the shocks off the F150, they looked new. I did not need longer break lines. When I had to jack the radius arm down to get the springs in, the break lines were tight, but when I got everything installed and lowered down they had plenty of slack.

Hatman I didnt know you did all that, from your little avatar I thought you were all stock. Im headed to pull a aprt next chance I get. LOL Where did you get your tires? New or used?

I got em used all for $100.00 of CL. I took them off today and got out my wire brush and drill and chrome polish and cleaned them up inside and out. I surprised how well they turned out. I haven't updated my avatar yet, I'll take some pics and try to post and update my avatar tomorrow. Let me know when you go, I might just meet you there, still gotta get some exploder leafs, mirrors, and I'm gonna look for some fender flares.

would this work for my 96 or is this only for earlier years that the f150 coils would work

87 ford ranger

Hey i tried putting f150 coils in my 87 ford ranger 4x4 but the tires were way to cambered. I am curious though if i just buy drop down brackets would this fix it. I also put explorer leaf springs in the rear and worked like a charm.

How much lift did you get? From my research you may also need a drop pitman arm and maybe adj. camber/caster bushings.
