I am currently using an exhaust clamp under the first coil and clamped around the center hole. What have others done ? .

Used a hose clamp.
Used a zip tie.
Used the original f150 clamp - drilled and tapped a hole or used a self tapping metal screw.
I like your muffler clamp idea.

all the above in a pinch.

i just make a bracket out of strap eventually.

on my ttb though.....my coils were much longer then my shocks....and i was limited at 18 inches of travel.

A large hose clamp has always worked for me. It bends itself nicely around the spring and coil bucket, and has never broke.

I'm using some t-bolt clamps on mine right now. Work great
