This is a great ranger site. I have gotten alot of good info off of here, and I am glad to be joining. I have easy access to a 2 1/1" front lift kit for a 80-96 F-150. My mud truck is an 84 ranger 4x4 with a fuel inj 5.0L. Dumb question but has anybody tried to use the brackets and coils on a ranger? I have not looked at it yet, but you guys are the experts. Any help would be greatful, thank you.

No, the frames are completely different, the brackets won't bolt up.

Many here have used the F-150 coils under a Ranger. However the brackets have to be made for a Ranger.

Welcome to the site

Thank you so much, I was kind of thinking that, but hey it was a free lift.

What do you think about jamming just the coils for the 2 1/2" F-150 in?

maybe too much lift for the stock brackets.....

you would never be able to get it aligned...

not to mention the steering would be way off without a drop pitman arm....

but i know some have put the stock F-150 coils in for 2" or so of lift on a Ranger...
