will like a 79 or so f-150 coilspring bolt into a ranger coil tower?

look in the tech section, its been covered, if i were you and u had acess to the 79 truck, steal the coil and shock buckets from that and use them on the ranger, no where hear as prone to rusting out and you can then use fullsize springs wihtout any modifications

You'll want TTB f150 coils....the bottom wrap of the SAS coils is open wound, where the TTB coil is wound tight so you can use a stock style clamping fixture....

or use 2 in pipe flanges as seats to run the 79 coils. they move nice:icon_thumby:

hes going to be running full width axles from what i can gather over his scattered posts, the ttb coils will not work with a solid axle 44

mhughes165 is correct, i'm gonna get a d44 and cut it down to match my 8.8 and get some tough axles for both front and rear. looks like i'm gonna get the 9 inch suspension lift skyjacker has for a 77-79 f-150 and go from there, is why i was asking about the coil towers

Then yes, they'll work for ya. be sure to add some pics when ya start building.

9 inches of lift and narrowed axles? That is just begging for a roll over. Personally I would go with full widths and then adjust you backspacing on your rims accordingly. Yes, you can run narrow axles with dished out rims, but it will play havoc on your ball joints and wheel bearings.
