Extra Driving Lights

You know that there is a hole the firewall right behind the air cleaner that you can run wires into the fuse panel so you have to go in through the door?

I run my wire through that hole. It's the hole for the kickdown cable for the automatics. That's empty if you have a manual. Go figure.

Anytime you want to switch a device which draws more current than is provided by an output of a switch or component you'll need to use a relay. The coil of a relay that we most commonly use draws very little current (less than 200 milliamps) and the amount of current that you can pass through a relay's common, normally closed, and normally open contacts will handle up to 30 or 40 amps. This allows you to switch devices such as headlights, parking lights, horns, etc., with low amperage outputs.

Alright, Right now, I have my extra lights, and my dash board hooked up the the switch (Don't ask why). What would be the best relay to get?

Just a standard 30amp Bosch relay will do the trick.

use that wiring diagram yes you will need more wire. a cord s something on a shop vac and yes a 15 amp inline fuse will work nicely i would get 12 or 14 gauge wire
