just wondering where i can get extended shackles for my 91 ford explorer, im looking for 2 inches, i checked local parts stores and summit and havent found any that werent marked JEEP!!

any help is appreciated:icon_thumby:

hey thanks for the help, any other brands than warrior? they were the only one i found at the local parts store and it will cost me 90 bones to get them, im not going to drop 90 bucks and work out in the cold for 6 hours for 1.25 inches of lift...does any company make a full 2inch extension or am i going to have to break out the :icon_welder:

Shouldn't take you 6 hours to change out shackles unless the bolts are siezed in the bushings. Even then a torch can fix that problem quickly. 90 bucks isn't really a whole lot of money considering how much better your suspension will perform with longer shackles.

i have run the warrior shackles, and loved them. i think i got 2" of lift at first, but then it settled down to about 1.5. i definitely recommend them, they are extremely well made. much better than the auto parts store cheapies.

a lift shackle to provide 2 full inches of lift looks bad, real bad. i had a set made, and threw them out before i even put them on. its been awhile, but i think they were around 11-12" long. looked damn goofy. remember, for every 2" longer the shackle is, you only get about 3/4" of lift.

you can use 2 inch drop shackles for an 86 fullsize c10 chevy if its cheaper( i dont know the price)

Not on an explorer. Different style shackle (and one of the easiest to make)

sasquatch, is that the warrior set of shackles or a homemade set?? you got the dimensions??

That is the Warrior compared to the stock shackle.
