When it comes to extending shackles, is the lift height half of the extended length? 4" extended shackles will give 2" of lift. Can someone tell me if this is correct?

Also, has anyone coupled two brake hoses together to make a extended brake hose for the rear? What brake hose did you use for the second hose?

I was thinking of using a brake hose with two of the ends that fit the 3/16" steel line and connecting it to my brake hose with a short steel line.
So I would have the hard line comming from the front, with a 4 or 6" hose, small steel line ( maybe an inch or two), then my normal rear brake hose.
Thank You.

You are correct about the shackles. 4" longer shackles will give you about 2" of lift.

your stock set *should* handle 2" in the rear, if not, use a section of softline with male threads on one end and female threads on the other, the kind used for surge breaks on trailers as discussed here or another idea to check into (hasnt been done that i have seen) try the part they show here i dont know which p/n is the right one but obviously its the one with male threads on one end and female threads on the other

I'm sitting at over 5" of suspension lift with a stock rear line, and i'm running super flexy 63" chevy leafs and extended shackles. All you have to do it bend the little bracket that holds the flex line to the frame downwards and you get all the length you will ever need. If you need more length ( you shouldn't with just the extended shackles) you can make the bracket itself longer and bend the hard line a bit to get more length.

thanks guys, I think bending the bracket is the way to go.
