I am looking to add extended arms to my 84 4x4 I already have a 4inch in it. I am wondering what companies sell just the arms at a reasonable price. I dont do alot of hard core wheeling so I dont need the strongest parts and I dont want to make my own

Tough country is like $450 and james duff is $550 for the kits. My suggestion is to hit up ebay or look around the the parts for sale here and look for a used set.

Skyjacker, James Duff, and Tuff Country I know all sell ext radius arm kits.

Does anyone know much about superlifts arms?

Mine broke after a mere 8 months (d-side broke clean off, this is the p-side).

unless they've changed in the last few years, stay away from those :no2:

Yea, Ive heard of a few of those superlift arms breaking at the ears. Beef em up and they'd be fine...

i dont think i have ever seen anyone run the tuff country arms but if you play were there is alot of mud then get the skyjacker arms or if you are in a dry country then the jamesduff are better for you since they have hiem joints

I've had the superlift ones on my truck for ten years and havn't had any problems with them YET

Had a set of superlift arms break the ear in our group on a trail run last march. Sucked the drive shaft out of the t-case and then broke the joint at the diff. That was a fun trail repair.

I've not heard of problems with tuff country arms. But nobody really runs them.

My SJ arms are doing just fine. Seems very well engineered and of thick wall steel.

If the Tuff Country arms don't come with a new trans x-member how does that work?

neither do the ranchos, the ranchos I had mounted just forward of the transmission x-member, I would imagine the TC arms are the same way.
