Extended radius arm ?

does anyone know if there is a difference between 2wd and 4wd extended radius arms? If so what is the difference? I'm only asking cause I have a set from a 4wd and wanted to use them on my 2wd.

the way they mount to the ttb or tib is different i think.. i'm not for sure tho

The 2wd beam is much smaller than the 4x4 beam, and AFAIK they don't interchange.

They don't interchange....Railman had gotten a kit from another member and ended up having to cut off the 4WD RA and weld it to the 2WD extended RA pivot end...

^^^ Agreed, IIRC there is a slight difference in the thickness of the beams, so that the 2x4 rad arm won't fit over the 4x4 beam. I think the length is the same though. I'm wondering if you could go the other way [ 4x4 rad arm on 2x4 beam ] by adding a shim [washer or two]?

No, the distance in between the RA mounting surface (where the beam fits insdie the RA) is different between the 2 and 4WDs...

i believe you could use a 4x4 RA with a spacer under the upper tab on a 2wd beam....would also sorta be a built in spacer lift....

well thanks for the input fellas. i have the 4x extended radius arms im gonna try them out on my 2x see if i can make them work. if i can i will post some pis of the mods neccesary to do the swap.
