So l purchased the brake lines outlined for extending my front hoses found in the tech library...

http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/ReplacementBrakeLine_Front.html

It appears the passenger side will work with no problem. It looks simple enough... as for the drivers side there is a junction block with two lines in it. l cannot figure out how the new lines tie into this block or where they attach to extend the lines out. Do these part numbers work for all rangers or just 1st generation? The truck is a 94 4x4 4.0

l know this is a brake question, but it pertains to a lift and this forum is frequented more often... thanks for the help

this helps

The 7.5 hardline fittings didnt fit into the 8.8 drums so I picked up some new ones and made a bracket to give a little extension to the rear since I did not use and extended line. Then I had to find a Tpiece to fit the front driverside and install the 2 piece lines from the tech library. I also threw on some brand new pads.

here is my ghetto-rigged extension for the rear till I get a longer line

I used 2 piece extended rubber lines
The new lines shown are 'Brakeware' that I bought from Autozone. Their part numbers are listed below you need one of each for both sides. As well as some sort of T fitting for the drivers side as it supplies the passenger line as well.

brakeware 77226
brakeware 88291
here you can see the T fitting used as well as the new 2piece lines..look close and youll see the other line coming from behind the spring bucket

my steel braided lines came with the line, it was made on the line on the stock ones, and it was made on the new one too. all i can think you could do is to go to an auto parts store and buy a tee fitting and adapt it to the line. take the old one and the new one both and show them, a goodcounter person at a REAL auto parts store should be able to make it work...

good luck

Any part numbers for the "t" connector?

Are the threads the same for all three connections? If so do you know them off your head or l guess l could take the passenger line in and find the right thread... as long as all three connections are the same right?:icon_confused:

just go to a auto parts store or a brake place and tell them you need a T fitting for 3/16 inch brake line with two female and one male connections.... autozone probably won't have one... better off going to a small local place....

:headbang: Thanks

ugh got a similar question... but i bought the brake hoses in every attempt to install the new lines, but i cant get the old lines off, and i am afraid of braking the hard line. What is the best way to remove the lines??

Soak the fitting with PB Blaster. WD40 is not going to work. And you would be better off using a flare nut wrench, grips all 6 sides.

Here are the brake hoses we used, bought at Autostoned, they are for a Chevy 3500 and are about 25" long.

Yeah and it is going to seem like an eternity before they come off, especially on the passenger side. But slow and steady wins the race :icon_thumby:
