Expo seats and Large center console in Ext Cab

I am about to embark on a seat/console swap soon. Just curious if anyone had Expo seats and a large center console installed. I might put the center console in until I make up my mind if I want to build a center to house a Solo Barix 10" sub and amp.

Just scored a set, a SET, of 98 Expo Limited grey leather seats with power everything for $75. I am going back to pull them tomorrow. Internet high five!

On another note, I have something that may interest you...

About 1.5 years ago, I bought a center console/sub box from HazmatRanger that he built. It is very well constructed fiberglass, and fits perfectly. It houses a 10" sub that faces the rear of the cab, and comes complete with 3 rocker switches, a hole for the shifter, and 2 cup holders.

The reason I am selling is because I moved up my system to a 12" Fosgate P2, and this will no longer fit. Also, I have a 3" body lift, and it isn't feasible to run this anymore.

If you are interested, I'll snap pics for you next chance I get. Hazmat probably still has pictures somewhere, too.

Here is a pic of the seats I am getting out of a junk. Not these exactly but you get the point.

The seats are a little warn so I am going to have them recovered and have some stitching done.

Now who wants to help me with a logo?

those are the exact same seats i have in stretch.

very comfortable.


i used the console too,but it's too narrow for the fullsize.i'll be building a new one,but it is handy for storing miscellaneous junk.

I like the Ranger emblem on my fender. I was thinking about doing that on the seats and maybe something somewhere else. Lets see what you come up with.

Nothing has happened yet. I pick up my seats tomorrow. Then it is off to the upholsterer shop to get refitted and custom embroidery. I will not say what the embroidery is going to be.

Can't wait to see the outcome. The 99 Ranger's driver seat had a broken support in the back. I just so happen to have a 98 Explorer Eddie Bower sitting in the pack yard as an engine donor for the 86 I'm building. Considered swapping the seats from the Explorer, why not they are free even if they are the wrong color (tan and I need gray). Well maybe not free but I only paid $500 for the whole thing which is more than covered by the engine swap, and intend to use everything I can off of it prior to scrapping the rest.

Look forward to seeing how it turns out I may take the same route with mine. Might have to add the 6 disk changer and Auto Climate controls as well though.

My seats from a 2dr 02ish Explorer Sport. Center console is the stock console that came with the truck but was also available in the Explorer. Only things I did were to get a manual track for the driver's seat to convert from power to manual and I also pulled the covers off and cleaned them

Well since I was going to have the mountaineer seats recovered, I decided that I would save myself some money and just use the seats out of my donor vehicle. So I have power seats out of a EB Expo now.
