explorer t-case in ranger

i need to know if the transfer case of an exploer will fit on my 86 and on which models the explorers came with manual shift. im trying to do this b/c exploerers hav the mid shaft slip scetion and flanges on the ends much better than the ranger slip yoke on the t-case. appreciate any help guys
