I was wondering if bucket seats for a 98 explorer or similar year would fit in a 98 ranger.

yeah they should, but the best advice i can give you is to take a tape measure and measure both your seat mounts and the donor seat mounts. Bolt patterns in the explorers and rangers vary from year to year, the article in the tech library is out dated and is made for the gen 3 rangers. I also suggest finding power seats, they are far more adjustable and all you have to run is one power wire.

I fit power explorer seats from either a 96 or 98 into my 99 ranger extended cab. They were slightly off. the bolts took a little force to line up and the bolt holes in the seats had to be drilled out so that the bolts from my 60/40 seats would fit. It only took about an hour to do and it was the first time id ever taken out seats so its simple to do

what socket do I use to get my seats out it isn't a t-55 and a t50 is too smaill it lokks like some sort of proprietery fitting. help!
