My parents have an '08 Explorer and the fabric on the lower front seats is a mess. Getting them professionally recovered is out of their budget. Does anybody have experience with good aftermarket seat covers and have a recommendation? Thanks!

I purchased some fitted seat covers from Coverking a couple years ago. They fit very well (the ones I got were called "Spacer Mesh" or something like that... They literally have dozens of different fabric & color combinations available).
They're a bit $$$ compared to generic parts-store seat covers, but IMO were well worth it.

I have some Trail Gear seat covers that I got at Cabela's in my Explorer. They are a little loose and need to be repositioned occasionally but they are made out of some kind of thick canvas type material and have held up really well. They were also super cheap, like $20/seat.

Might try Nicole at The Seat Shop , got a perfect match for my 2000 ford explorer seats that I installed in my ranger.
