I'm in Bristol PA it's just north of Philly about 15 miles close to Trenton New Jersey also. I was looking at SD truck Springs it had me thinking 1200 lb is about right and the original springs were too light anyhow. one thing I do know the Springs under the truck now or practically straight and bottom out very very easy!

SD is $60 shipping! Yikes!

I found a near Local Company ATS and online with free shipping I'm impressed with myself LOL

But it still seems practical beneficial and even correct to get LONG add a leaf and do the same thing for half the price.

yeah the shipping is killer. unless you do it all.

careful assessment of what you have and what you want to do is key there.

running around 4-5 trips to various junkyards looking for premo parts can burn 60 dollars worth of gas not to mention your time pretty quickly..


if your bushings are fine then its possible the aal will get it done. your not wheeling it so it will hold together.

Well I chickened out and I ordered Tuff country add a leaf, hopefully they'll be here next week, I'm not in a rush to get this done but it seems to make sense, hopefully they ARE long add a leaf the specs say they're 50" long

Well the new shock absorbers are on the truck and they made a wonderful difference !

Skyjacker add a leafs were on my front step yesterday afternoon, hopefully we'll start the project in a few days.

and I'm still trying to sum up the courage to do the broken Spring Mount. It's not like I don't have the tools from 40 Years of Contracting, boat building HVAC service and car Restorations with my son.
