Explorer Leaf swap years

'91-'01 Explorer leafs will fit.

Up to about 2" lift is possible.

Any leaf sprung Explorer will work.

I'm not positive what the differance is, but I know some have the mono-leaf springs. If I'm not mistaken, you do NOT want those.

I know many people will argue both ways, but I think they give closer to 3"+ of lift.

On my 4.0L 4wd, Ext cab (about the heaviest Ranger you can get) I did the Explorer leaves, and even with 2" of lift in the front from the leveling spacers, it still has QUITE the rake to it. I think if the front end got lifted up another 2 inches, it might sit level.

If you are looking for a good alternative to an add-a-leaf, then it is good, but you will HAVE to lift the front as well. Whether it be a leveling kit, or even maybe a 4" lift in the front.

The 95-00 2dr Sport Models had the 3" monoleaf. Stay far away from those...

Why stay away from monoleafs. My truck had them they flex great, rode good, never had a problem. By the way the mono leafs were some burly springs, I was never afraid of breaking them.

They won't be good at all if you play in rocks much.

That would be sweet if they actually did get me 3". I have a 4" suspension lift ready to install in the front, I'm just going to use explorer leafs in the back cuz i dont wanna use blocks. I dont mind the stiffer ride, and i actually haul a lot of wood so it will be nice to not have the old lady ass-sag anymore. If the explorer leafs on their own don't get me enough, I'll probably add back in the ranger main leaf and maybe some more of the stock ranger ones to get it higher.

Not all of them did.

Care to elaborate? Every 2dr of that generation that I have ever seen has them. Hell, I own one, but I decided to swap them out for a 4dr 4-leaf pack. Best thing I ever did to that thing.

The 90-94s have 3-leaf packs and the newer body style 01+ have 3-leaf packs, but not 95-00...they have monoleafs.

I drive a '00 Sport for work and it has the 3 leaf pack. Majority of the '95-'00 had the mono leaf (junk), but there was the 3 leaf pack on those as well.
