Hey guys, I am looking for the measurment of the rear frame of a gen 1 explorer. Measeurment should be outside frame rail to outside frame rail. I am looking at this for a hitch option on my ranger that has been modified to fit a fullsize bronco tank.:headbang:

>>>

I'd ballpark it at 6" wider than a Ranger as the springs are mounted under the frame on a Explorer.

My 2nd gen frame is JUST shy of 41" outside to outside. It should be the same as a 1st gen.

Just measured my 94 Limited Ex. it was 40 3/4" inches .....so yeah I would go with 41".... mine was in a wreck a long time ago so who knows if my frame has been tweaked a little:icon_confused:

thanks guys. back to the drawing board then for me.

What width are you looking for?

I am looking for something around 33 or 34 inches wide. Whatever the ranger frame width is.
