So I have been searching around and I cant find a straight answer. I read somewhere about the discs from an explorer axle being a bolt on swap to a explorer drum axle. You would need p-brake, rotors, backing plate, calipers, pads and everything else. I got a drum axle cause every other axle got torn apart by retards in the pic-a-part:dunno:. but there are brakes for a 8.8 which would be sweet. If someone could help me with wuts up that would be cool.

Yes, the disc parts will bolt right up.

They are a bolt on swap. I did the swap on my Bronco II's Explorer 8.8 and was glad I did.

You will need to grab the rear parking brake cables for the disc brakes just to be sure.

Parts Needed To Swap:
- Backing plates
- Calipers
- Disc
- Drum Parking Brakes
- Rear parking brake lines
- 2 Passenger side rubber soft lines off an Explorer (Explained below)

The reason you need the 2 passenger side soft lines is if you installed the drum setup like your stock Ranger brake line setup with the soft line coming down to the axle in the center of the axle, then what you will do is cut the lines back a little bit from the backing plates and use the 2 passenger side soft lines. The Explorer drive side soft line wont work because the Explorer 8.8 with disc has the soft line coming from the frame on the drive side. When you are tearing apart the rear disc off the 8.8, you will see what I mean.

If you have any questions, PM me. Like I said, I have done this transformation recently.
