what are th stock axles in the 1993 for explorer 4x4 and would it be worth it to put them into my 1986 ford ranger
Only need to shorten front shaft 1".d35 and 8.8, d35 is a bolt in affair, aside from needed to shorten the front driveshaft 2", the rear 8.8 will need new spring perches mounts and shock mounts welded on....look in the tech library its the most common upgrade for axles in rangers
Only need to shorten front shaft 1".
what is the cost of that or can i do it myself
or you can just use the sploder t case and front shaft if it has the same trans.
you can spring load the slip too sometimes and run the sploder shaft with some clearancing and a single joint. cause likely you have a manual t case.
you can do every thing your self, not hard, just do your research be for you start. im doing my explorer swap this weekend, ill get some pics for you.
