Explorer 5.0 in an 04 and newer truck questions

Ok guys i know i need the motor, trans, wiring harness, computer, throttle cable, cruise cable, radiator, exhaust back to past the o2 sensors, oil filter relocator, engine mounts, power steering pressure hoses, etc... i was wondering what would need to be rewired to make the computer link up w/ the microprocessor in the gauge cluster and the digital odometer that is also on my truck... and if you were wondering i have an 06 ranger standard cab, 2wd, 3.0l automatic w/ pats type e

ok so i think i may have found a way around converting the pats system from my ranger to the explorer... basically if my theory and logic are correct the 96-97 explorers dont have pats, therefore if i get a wiring harness from the 96-97 explorers then i won't have to worry bout pats, it would then just be a mechanical action in the key sending an electrical signal from the column to the starter solenoid and fuel injectors. i think i can accomplish this by swapping out the dash harnesses and the engine harnesses from each truck and this would accomplish the start w/o having to worry about pats, which i would have bypassed anyway w/ a remote start system... if anyone can get any info on whether this will work or not please let me know before i go and waste a ton of time to find out i still need pats for my truck to run...
