Is there anyone out there who has either used or installed one of the Explorer Express supercharger kits for the 4.0sohc motor? Any additional input would be greatful, I have read a bunch of the older posts on this topic but I still have some unanswered questions.

The truck in question is a 05' FX4 5spd manual and 4.10's with the LSD. Other then all Amsoil fluids and dual's the truck is stock, its at approximately 40k miles. I also live outside of Denver Colorado so the 5k plus elevation might matter somehow.

Thanks in advance....

id look into RP Casters supercharger kit that uses an M90. everyone ive talked to that uses the kit is pretty pumped on it. and its not terribly expensive.

That's what I have but the truck isn't finished enough to give a real opinion on how well it works. Sounds wicked though !!:icon_thumby:

How far along is your install with th

Rp kit? Is the kit of good quality? And where did u get your M90 from?

I bought a rolled and wrecked Sport trac that had the kit installed already. Just installed the engine and trans into my 87 . Actually took it for a little drive today. I'm impressed !! Very good throttle response and easily , without a hint of protest , lit up 34 " Super Swampers .:yahoo:

both kits are good, any kit you get will never be enough you will alway want more. the EE is a good kit with everything you need, RPcaster also has a nice kit but you will need you own supercharger

will kinda depend on how much power you wanna make no? i think that the mp62 (explore kit) is gonna be able to produce more power because of the efficency. than the m90. correct me if im wrong here.
