went up to the cabin this weekend and found an old tin of grizzly chew. not that old jsut form deer season(thanksgiving time) and was curious if it expires. its still fairly moist and seem to tastes fine but i only occasionly chew and was wondering how long i have till i should throw it out. cuz up here tobacco is like gold. cigs are frickin $9 a pack for cheap ones and even chew is like $5 a tin

I think you're alright using it. I don't think there is anything that could go "bad" in there, at least not worse than it already is. I've had cigars for a couple years before smoking them and they were still fine, I've even seen cigars in smoke shops that were 40-50 years old! I think as long as it's not too dry that you don't enjoy it, it should still be ok, just might have lost a little flavor.

Dip it.

Whats the worst that could happen?

Thanks for reminding me im out. :D

cancer only expires when you do.

Nice remark, +1

nah, it should be fine, I am not fond of any tobacco though, but it should be fine, it really doesn't go bad tbh. not for a few years.

I do not smoke or chew so I have no insight into this matter. Personally I thinking chewing is gross but to each their own.

Happy chewing I guess.

Throw it out so you can quit the habit...

I don't think chew goes bad for a couple of years, if ever. $9 for a pack of smokes? They're $6.69 down here in Amherst. Speaking of whiskey, kind of one of them adult "beverage" days down here, only two more days of rain.

itll be fine. i found some mint skoal in my dads 72 ltd that was probably older than i am and once it got moist it was fine. and cigars actually get better with age if stored properly and will get what looks like mold on them but that is actually "bloom" and makes them better.

ya its kinda funny when poeple think old cigars are junk, i have a small humidor and will occasionlay enjoy one of them too, but its hard to get an hour or so to just sit outside and enjoy one

We're spoiled around my way. You can still get marlboros for $5.25 a pack around here. When I was in high school they were $3

People from Jersey come down and buy them by the cartons all the time, even after gas and the bridge toll it's cheaper.

Isn't that due to taxes? :icon_rofl:
