I have a 1994 B3000 and I wants to make it into a dual exhaust, but I wouldn't mind some advice, I was planning on getting a cherrybomb turbo put ahead of the converter and routing out the two pipes to the back of the truck, would that sound any good? I wants a better sound but I don't have that much to spend on it so any advice would be appriciated.

what are you trying to accomplish by putting the muffler in front of the converter? to do so, youd have to move the convert back, since there is just no room for a muffler between the engine and the converter in stock configuration. on top of that, the converter needs as much heat as possible in order to function. sending the exhaust through a muffler and length of pipe before it reaches the converter is likely to cause the cat to foul out.

my advise: leave the converter where it is. install a aftermarket single in/dual out muffler after the cat and run your pipes out the back.

Thats a mix up haha, what I meant when I said ahead of the cat was actually behind the cat, like ahead of the cat if you were looking at the truck from the front, it just come out sounding wrong haha. Thanks for the advice though

i took the stock muffler of and put a flomaster with dual outlets out in its place and had the tailpipes ran back

I put a REAL cherrybomb (not the turbo) on my truck in place of the factory muffler and finished it off with a resonated dual-outlet tip. It sounds great and was cheap to boot. I bought the muffler at a local hardware store for 21 bucks and gave my local exhaust guy another 10 for a short length of pipe with a slight bend and a couple of clamps. I had the tip leftover from a different project.
