im looking to put new exhaust on my 95 3.0 and i went to a few shops. CES (custom exhaust systems) said $195.95 for a single in/out with new piping from the mufflers back. same place said $295.95 for single in and 2 1/2 duals out also new piping from the mufflers back.

scotts exhaust $270.00 for single in/out (super 44) he also didnt say anything about new piping at all.

how would it sound if i did just a muffler swap? all my exhaust is stock and it bugs me its to quite!!!

thanks guys
Brandon

just the muffler alone would sound good. but a 2 1/4- 2 1/2 tailpipe would sound better.

a flowmaster super 44 or a dynomax super turbo would sound great on there.

Well, if you can do basic work I would say do it yourself depending on what you want. I did a custom SI/SO that split into duals out the rear on my old 84 ranger with all new pipe for 50 for the pipe and 65 for the Flowmaster 40. But I also have a welder and don't mind cutting on my trucks too much. I got a Dynomax system for my 99 3.0L that came with a complete cat back system new pipe from the cats back and a new muffler and gaskets with 2.5" pipe for about 200 and I know the older trucks systems are cheaper. If you want you can always get it for the pipe and replace the muffler...

Sorry if this doesn't help too much lol I just would rather do it myself then pay someone to do it for me ... when i can do it myself

Heres my Dynomax system (its a 99 but I imagine it will sound about the same as yours)

i second the super 44. great muffler. go with a 2 1/2 pipe setup; no larger though

i dont have a welder ;( sadly. but the 195.95 is installed with the super 44 and would dump it before the rear axle. is that a good deal? i asked the guy about having it come out before the back wheel and he told me he can but he doesnt recommend it because it can get damaged easy when im off roading

that sucks. thats a rip off. you could do that yourself for 100.00

get a dynomax kit from www.jegs.com or ebay and bolt it on.

and if you can cut a pipe, and turn a wrench. you could do this.

can you find me a link so i can buy the right thing and not end up spending a a$$ load. im trying to find the best deal i dont have really deep pockets

thank you

what would be better 2.25 or 2.50 for the turbo kit? im asking wat would sound better? i like the deep sound like a muscle car sound

ok. i will see about getting the Dynomax kit soon

thank you guys for ur help
