Ok I got a 92 4.0L 4x4 5 speed and ive tried a number of different exhaust but i cant seem to find a good sound right now ive got a 40 series flowmaster with a side dump it sounds good but its a lil to quiet for me have any ideas?

haha...i also had this same problem, and i tried flowmasters, dynomax, glasspacks, and everything i could think of. Honestly, for me the best sound was nothing at all. I have pacesetter headers and y-pipe, and a magnaflow direct fit cat.converter. I ran it with nothing attached to the cat.converter, and it sounded great, but after adding a small straight pipe and turndown in front of the rear pass. wheel, it did make it a little more quiet, but still sounded great. Also, the pipe i used was the same diamiter as the cat...i think 2.5 or 3"...but that is on my 88 2.9 v-6

Well i have just manifolds with the stock y pipe and a single magnaflow converter i guess ill try it i mean what do i got to lose at this piont lol
