MAKG - Thanks for the info! Maybe a minor correction though. My GF's truck (the one I am trying to diagnose in the NON-RBV forum) has the TE1 and E1 connectors and it is a 96. Maybe it was phased out in 96 not 95?? You would know better than I though
Remember that companies produce the next model year starting late the previous year. You can check the exact month/year on the Federal tag. (placed on the drivers' side door jam, usually.)
You can read the codes on the old toyotas by shorting two of the contacts in the diagnostic conecter and then counting the flashes on the dash. can't remember which two though. I'm sure someone on here knows though.
