flexfuel efi's are ****ing garbage. my neighbor took a huge loss on his because it was in the shop at least every other week for warranty repairs. he ran some e85 in it for a while and it was running crappy. then he put some 92 octane e10 in there and ended up burning up some of his rings. he had it for 3 months and lost about 10k on the trade in.
I haven't heard of many problems directly related to being flex fuel. Aside from being made for the corrosive stuff, bigger injectors, and a senser to determine octane they are pretty much the same as anything else.
My uncle has tried about everything in his flex fuel F-150, never had a problem with it.
