Escorts 2nd SAS

If I'm 4wd. I want to get a trackbar like yours then weld tabs or a holder for the eyelet end on the frame mount, want to get rid of the TRE one i have, will help with the steering slop i have. You get the drag link shipped yet, it will go on at the same time i do the trackbar mod., no big hurry for it though.

So much todo, so little time and funds

I was trying to make a box that would hold up to UPS abuse, but with the box that came with the exhaust pipe, i will use it instead. I've been bust last few days. I WILL get it out tomorrow since I will be on that side of town (UPS is on opposite side of town:annoyed:)

More pics of the snorkel

Tomorrow I start on the Saginaw upgrade.

And then after that...try to take over the world!!!!!!

Okay save that for another time.

Looked up your trackbar that you are using but cant find a how wide the joint is eye hole to eye hole on the frame mount part. Want to use a bracket from rough stuff and they dont specify either, just diameter from the center of the hole.

The frame end is 1.75"

I'll give rough stuff a call and see what the inside measurement is in their outside mount trackbar bracket is. Have a few ideas how i want to do this.

Also found a trackbar, mount and bushing combo for $129, may get that and rework the frame mount.

Snorkel is done for now, I still don't have a 90 degree elbow but I needed to get it back together to drive it.

I had to get another washer/overflow tank since I can't use the stock one. So a trip to the Pick-A-Part and got one from a 98 explorer and had to grab a pump from a 97 Ranger. The explorer had a dual outlet pump for front and rear wipers. The tanks fit perfectly....here are some pics.

Edit:

I made another snorkel for a friend of mine. He has a 97 and the filter location is different from 95 and newer. Here is what I did to make it work for him.

Just used a silicone coupler with another short piece of tube.

Looks AWESOME. I feel like the exploder needs a snorkel now. Where did you get the piping and the John Deere thingy?

You can get those pre cleaners on EBay or from Stieners Tractor Parts catalog or a JD dealership.

I got mine from a Combine salvage yard.

We both just used 3" exhaust pipe.

Like Plum said. I got the cleaner from eBay and 3" pipe from Summit.
Here is a listing of model numbers for the cleaner.

The same company made them for all the various makes and models of farm/industrial equipment. Mine is off of a 4400 JD combine.

They also make them with larger diameter bowls, for larger and smaller tubes, some have a mesh screen to keep the real big shit out too.

Edit: Donaldson is the company that makes the precleaner. They now a newer design called a Top Spin. Same concept, but all plastic and a little more compact. And they are self cleaning, they dont collect debris, it just dumps it back out.

The clear bowl style has been around since the 40's lol. Same exact part they use today.lol
