Its clearly gonna be better.... cold air intake dude!!

Doesnt longer intake runners make.more torque? Lol seriously though when i did mine in 2" pvc i noticed no difference at all

I noticed loss in power over 3700 rpm. Now it pulls better up to 4500. Should hopefully see a slight increase in mpg

I think my PVC snorkel had to many bends that restricted air flow causing power loss at high rpm

Between my gauge pod and snorkel I basically have blinders on.lol

I got 34 miles on my last tank of fuel LOL. 34/18 = 1.88 mpg :)

How does everyone get such terrible mileage? I still pull of 14-16MPG with 38.5's and a heavy as hell supercab...

My situation is due to a carb that is junk but an edelbrock that is getting put on this weekend. I'm shooting for 15mpg.

I love driving old iron full size trucks with the giant v8 engines, but when miles per gallon gets measured in feet per gallon it is time to get a "ranger". :icon_cheers: Remember when you have a v8 to stay off the skinny pedal, how much throttle does it take to move such a tiny truck anyway?

When your crawling all day and you never take it out on the road, tends to effect your MPG. SGT Ex gets about the same as 036Speed's setup, but then again I have driven it less than 500 miles in a year

I pull 14-15 as well. Truck weighs in at over 4700lb with 35s. Last trip to Bundy I filled up right before we rolled into the park, and wheeled for 7-8 hours and burnt less than a 1/4 tank.

D was getting 17-18 on 35s. 13 on 37s. 19-20 on 33s. Only problem is you hit a hill, it would rape the trucks performance. This is why I decided to just go ahead and v8 it.

My 97 4.0 ranger got 13mpg on 33s and 3.73s if i was nice to it which never happened lol
