uses a pulley to multiply your pulling force. also works well when recovering somone else to redirect the cable when you cant get directly behind them

theres so many uses for a snatch block.. in a perfect world- just buy the ARB winch kit full of everything. but if you have a smittybilt winch-- the kit costs more than your winch!! lol

don't you love those moments when you realize that you did actually retain some info? lol

Actually in that set-up its not being given an advantage...to do that you have to have more then one pulley...your just changing its dirrection.

Wow school did teach me something.

He was just showing the different uses for it beside doubling load pull. In that pictures it shows how you can change the direction of a pull. Just incase it was missed....

Used my snatch block last weekend to yank out a stuck grand cherokee after a Superwinch cable snapped. Definitely worth the money. Bought mine at ORW for like 50 bucks. Its not the ARB one, but it works fine for me.

that's what i was gettin at.

I snapped my winch cable Saturday because I forgot my brand new snatch block at home....

on our annual spring break in run two of the truck's in the group broke their winch. both were due to missuse tho. mine made it out unscathed. one guy hooked his cable back to itself and broke his cable right near the hook. and the other made a really long pull and only had 2-3 wrap's on the drum and pulled the eyelet off the winch side.

I am going to finish the rear of the truck this weekend. Have to put the 6400 shackles is and need to take the bed off to do it. And since i have the bed off i will clean up the frame and replace the crossmember thats above the axle. It is badly rusted and a new crossmember weldedx in there will help stiffen it up some. I might also make a new rear crossmember with a hitch and remove the rear bumper... Also i will put on the longer brake hose since it will be easy to get to.

Not going to get anything done this weekend. Weather sucks. Feels like its winter and dont want to work outside when its cloudy and might rain.
I have been sketching some ideas for front and rear bumpers. I found a guy at work that has access to a cnc plasma cutter and will cut the plates for a bumper when i get around to it.

Must be nice...Im going to have to cut mine with a chop saw when I go to do that.

I worked on getting the a/c compressor converted to oba. Got it working with the a/c button. I have air line, 3 gallon tank, fittings, and a 5 port manifold all for $30 from my neighbor. He has a bagged ranger that he upgraded to a 10 gallon tank and different setup. . Not to bad of a deal.
