I trimmed 2" off the bottom plastic on the bumper. Now it is hitting the metal part of the bumper. Guess its time to get out the angle grinder and start cutting.
No wheeliing yet. Its still just 2wd. Soon i hope. But there are minor things that need finished/adjusted before i take it offroad.
Still trying to decide on the transmission rebuild and convert the one i have or one from a junkyard.
I have been super busy the last week or so. The weather has been nice and getting alot of work done around the house.
What I did get done on the truck is the sway bar is on and working now.
Drives so much better, no more body leaning around corners.
Had to remove this to get the sway bar in the right place.
The one off the 93 was different than the one on the 89. The 93 would not work because is was much narrower than the 89 by 2". It was rubbing the trackbar mount.
Had to make some brackets that I welded to the frame then mounted the swaybar to that.
I think that you might wanna support the front of the rails to help with steering or your track bar. That is asking a lot of that one rail IMO. I would at least when you build a bumper, weld in a crossmeber.
