Escorts 2nd SAS

Not like you can use the stock spare tire carrier anyways... So just put a b2 tank or fuel cell back there.

Spare tire brackets have been gone goes a while, the air tank is there now.

Ah yeah... Forgot about that.

I wonder if I could get a fuel cell that would fit in the back under the bed? Price will determine this though.

im pretty sure thats what street truck guys do but id just do the b2 tank probally holds more

the b2 tank is 23 gallons.. trust me, i know....

the b2 tank also hangs down nice and low for those ledge dropoffs. they are really nice for catching you and not letting you drop too fast hahaha

I've been busy today.

I waited a few days for a cross pin that I ordered...and, it already had one. I've done so many gear changes that I forgot what I had in mine. So anyway I don't need this cross pin. Lol

And if you notice the pic above, the shaft will clear the ring gear without any grinding. Thanks to Motive's performance series the ring gear is not as thick as other 4.56's. Makes it nice.

it was very minimal grinding to make my cross pin fit in... no biggie IMO.

but looks good! i love my 4.56's! and a locker is always nice!

It's going to take some getting used to, but shouldn't be a problem. Good thing my wife doesn't know how to drive a manual. :icon_cheers:

i jsut let-er rip in the explorer. behaves just fine on or off the gas around corners. kinda makes me wish i woulda just got a spool. Who know's might get a spool and sell the locker to fund front chromo's

Driving it on the road is not much different until you come to a tight curve or turning into or out of a parking spot. On the gas hard while turning will make the tires chirp or you hear them scuffing.
So as long as I keep the tires rotated and easy on the gas the tires should last ok.

In the next few days I will go try out the locker see how well it does off the pavement.

I haven't noticed any weird, abnormal, or accelerated wear on my tires (KM2's) in the 15k miles+ that have been subjected to my No-Slip...and before that I had 45k miles on my BFG AT's with the same locker (albeit the 28 spline version) They had another 5-8k on them before I sold them...and I never tried to baby it to make either set last longer. You won't have to worry at all about tire wear unless you are constantly doing BURNOUTS :icon_thumby:

You are gonna love it offroad...

Side note, keep the PSI in paired tires exactly the same (especially when you air down)....otherwise the locker will bank and thunk.

Gotcha. Thanks

Yippie! Got another driveshaft. Came from a 2001 Sport Trac. It needs ujoints. Got it for less than $75 with shipping. I will just keep the aluminum one for a spare.
