Escorts 2nd SAS

I hope she will be well enough for the spring meet to meet Sara and Vanessa.

Two words...F*¢k Cancer

If its close to fort Wayne she can make it. She might not feel good enough for a road trip, especially in the truck.

It's going to be in fort Wayne. I will be taking the car though, truck will be getting all the things that it needs done to it done to be able to go wheeling in it. Just need to see if I can use my dads welder, if not, break down and buy one.

Thanks man.
How's your wife doing with the cancer? I've got a grandfather fighting bone cancer and have been working on his trucks for him lately. It's hard to see someone fight a fight like that.

Escort, I hope your wife is beating the cancer. Its pretty awful stuff. I got a 4 year old niece battling cancer. I can totally relate.

Since its my 1st time on your page - awesome truck, btw. :icon_thumby:

i know its some where in the 200 pages but how tall are your front springs at ride height? and how long are the bump stops you built inside the coils?

Its actually at 16" at ride height.

She had her last chemo treatment last week and the chemo is working from the last scans she had, but its really kicked her but. She's lost about 45lbs and is down to 95lbs. She is tired and weak all the time and she is unstable when she walks, and because of that she had fallen while I was at work today. Thankfully she didn't get hurt but is scares the crap out of me and makes me worry when I'm not there to watch after her.

But the good news is the cancer is gone!

Interesting. Mine are at 18". Hard to compare ride heights with pictures. Hopefully mine sags a bit once I get the winch and bumper on

They have sagged some over the years.

Time for a small update.

All winter I did nothing to it but drive it. Didn't really fix any of the damage from my last trip to Bundy Hill in October. It needs some work, the clutch is gone, the slave leaks like crazy (I fill the master everyday), and it had a problem in the steering.

Today it was nice, 50°, and my brother helped me find the problem with the front axle. I thought maybe a bad ball joint but ended up being a bad wheel bearing. The Moog bearing I bought last may took a crap.

Getting good at changing them, had the old one off in 5 minutes.
Got it exchanged at Advance Auto. The manager was being an ass and said there was no way a bearing could get that rusty in less than a year. What a dumbass, it's snowed almost everyday here and salty roads can make it rusty. Anyways I got a new one and put it all back together. I thought it was the cheap ebay bearing that went bad but I was wrong.

Also replaced my broken driverside mirror. Found a cheap aftermarket one on rockauto.com......I guess I get what I paid for. It's will get replaced with an OEM one soon.

My brother had a cap for me.

It is for an S-10 and didn't fit correctly. To bad cause I think it looks good with a cap.

I've never had a problem with my timken bearings, though I do think my driverside is going bad because of wheel lean going on but.its also one of the original that came with my axle that I put from the passenger side to the driver side two years ago. Still have another brand new timken bearing waiting for me that I got for $50 off rockauto...gotta love close out.

I like the cap, I say you should have built a spacer to put under it.

We thought of the spacer but it still wouldn't of fit right. Also the hatch didn't latch and was broken. Also didn't have the key to unlock the side glass. So if it was made for the ranger I would of taken it.

the red one I got for D is for an S10 and it doesn't fit just right either, but it fits good enough for me. lol. I'll paint it to match D and keep it. Only issue with mine is the front sliding window is missing. Oh well. I'll just throw a piece of lexan in there and call it good.

I've started a new hobby with my son.
My father gave my son Tim his nitro RC, so I decided to buy one. I found two on ebay for $100. Got this one for $60.

Yep. I've replaced parts I've broken and just one day I broke almost every part.
