Escorts 2nd SAS

I paid $500 just for my stock 87 Dana 60, that's is the going price. Rear axle is worth another $100. If you give him $600, then you have scrap money coming back to you

What shape was you 60?

Rears a 10.25 not a 10.50.

Up here itd be easily 800-900... but everythings more here lol

My kingpin 60 goes for $1200....

92 would be balljoint D60, but correct on the 10.25" rear. Front will have slide pin brakes as well with a drum rear. Not exactly the best front D60 you can buy, but its what I have in mine. I would try for a disk brake rear, but to each his own.

My D60 ran $90 at the local you pull it, rear D60u from a late model econline ran $150. Front was out of a burnt out truck so had a damaged hub and needed seals. Rear needed seals and brakes.

Not everyone has a wonderful you pull it however :p I would offer $500-600 its not worth more imo.

It was in good shape. Needed u joints and wheel bearings/seals. I regeared mine so it got a full overhaul.

The 60 alone is worth $5-600 balljoint or king pin.

I meant to put 10.25, I didn't proof read before I posted.

As far as drum rears, that's not a problem for it can always be converted to disc.

I am going to look at it tomorrow. I will have $400 in cash after I 9am tomorrow.

I sold a 1987 KP D60, 3.55s, 3 months ago for $860. It was lock out to lock out with steering. Everything rotated well, but it still needed to be gone through. $860 was for a quick sale. Sold it in 2 days. $800-900 seems to be the going rate around here.

1978-1979 D60s go for a few hundred more. The pumpkin is centered more on those axles making them more valuable in the wheeling world.

I sold the 1987 Sterling 10.25 rear for $250. It needed drums.

FYI, I bought the whole truck for $1000 and it was delivered. It wasnt running and was title less.

That 92 is not even worth it. Would be way cheaper to buy a bare axle housing and go that route.

It had two bent spindles, no hubs, no brake assemblies, and no axle shafts. And the axle tubes were filled with dirt. So it was a waste of my time to look at it.
Guess I keep looking for a d44 and have it narrowed to eb width.

Ill make you a deal...Find me a D60...and Ill trade you a spooled EB 44, with fresh shafts, joints, JJ arms, T bird brakes, new rotors and pads, and a 31 spline 8.8, locked, with 5x5.5 chromos, trussed,Lightning calipers, and IRS Expo pads.

If I went the d44 way I would keep it simple and just do an eb one, I think I would be breaking shafts before a r&p. I know where a few are. Last one I saw has the drum brakes but that was just one out of the many there.

I just wish I could save the whole Bronco vehicle personally.

I have noticed the LP fronts do seem to chip ring teeth more frequently from my observations...but I still rock a LP.lol

The last few weeks I have noticed a problem with the rear locker. It's not wanting to lock when driving straight on the driver side axle. Under acceleration, it want to pull to the left and sometimes it will lock in place while driving and scares the crap out of me. So this week we are shutdown at work and I plan on pulling the diff cover and do some inspection. I also ordered another pin and spring kit and might have to replace them again.
I'm almost to the point of removing it and go back to an open diff.

Probably a pin/spring issue. I've seen it before.

That's what I'm thinking, why I ordered another set of springs.
