Is there anyone that has used an equus 3007 code reader? I have the opportunity to purchase a used one but I'm not sure if they're any good. I plan to use it on my 89 ranger and also on a '93 ford festiva. If they're lousy I'd like to find out now and wait around for a better one. But if they're ok ... well, I'd buy it. Thanks to anyone who responds.

The 3145 has good reviews. You can look at the manual online too before you buy. Don't know about 3007.

3007

Both of your vehicles are OBD I and the tool should work for both. The other tool is made by actron and it's no different.
There is a Haynes Manual that is nothing but computer codes and what to look at on these older models.

your festiva has 1.3-liter engine and manual transmission or automatic

Gas mileage is exceptional, with 30-plus mpg on average.. good fuel car economy

what is 12 inch tire or higher size

You don't need a code scanner for either of your vehicles. Follow the instructions on the main page of TRS and you can scan the codes with nothing more than a paperclip.
