Hey all,
I'm from Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. My bro actually just bought a new-to-him '96 Ranger XLT 4x4 with a 4.0L and 5 speed. He's not really a "car or truck guy", so I figured I'd join and post stuff up when I need help with tech, or any new additions are put on the truck etc.
We got a real good deal on this low-mile pick-up. The first owner used it to haul his golf clubs to the course and that's about it. The oil pump seized up on him around 90k miles and he ordered a crate 4.0L from Ford. The motor currently only has 50k miles on it. No rust at all on the truck, from what I've seen so far. Fully loaded except for power windows or locks. The second owner dinged up the tailgate, but asides from that he hardly drove it either. We are the third owners.
