Engnine Gasket Question

Quick and probably stupid question. I was rebuilding a 91 2.3 over the weekend and noticed that the gasket kit comes with two timing cover gaskets. ( http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2652780) Is there a reason for this? Thanks for the help and sorry again for stupid question.

there are two different bolt patterns, pre '89 and '89 up, cheaper to include two gaskets than have two part numbers
