Engine Ticking

My engine started ticking today. The last time it was making this ticking sound, it was due to low oil level as I have a leak somewhere. However, I checked the oil level and it is full. What could be causing the noise? It's somewhat quiet at idle and gets louder/faster with a little gas.

Are you sure it's the engine and not that stupid vacuum suction thing on the fender wall my 2.8 ticks for a few seconds after I shut off the engine, annoying as hell but no big deal! Also you can adjust your rockers too. It's not hard it's in the tech section.

It's about due. I did an oil change when I got home from work today. I'll see tomorrow if the ticking went away.

What brand oil filter are you using?

Replaced the oil & tick went away. I used an STP filter.

It was also an STP filter.

BTW, the oil change got rid of the tick.

Im on my second 2.9... Most seem to tick whether it be the lifters or injectors. You say an oil changed silenced it? Well that's good! No noise. XD
