I Need To Know What Year Of 4.0 Liter Ford Engie Will Bolt To A 1989 Mistshubsi 5 Speed. I Also Need To Know What Parts Are Needed To Swap , And Where To Get new Parts. Also Need To Know Preformance Manufactures And How Much HORSEPOWER You Can Get Out Of A Natrualy Asprated 4.o. No Nitris No Blower . This Engine Will Be Replacing A 2.9 Liter In A 1989 4x4 Ranger Supercab. Thank You. Please Email Me With Info

What year 4.0? Any, though in your case a 1990-92 would be easiest electronically.

Nobody here is going to "write a book" for you, do a bit of research as this subject has been covered MANY times and there are several active topics discussing these issues.

Do SOME research so you can ask questions that aren't as broad as the pacific ocean.


how much power can you get out of a 4.0?
That's not really relevant because that mitsubishi FM146 will
not survive long behind a stock 4.0 engine let alone one making
more power than stock.
