i have a 96 2.3l ranger that has over 100,00 miles on it that runs fine what would it take to put in a 5.0l out of a mustang?

Depends...what year is your Ranger and what motor is in it now?

I am about to do an 90 Mustang 2.3 swap into my 88 Ranger...I can do this because it has a distributor gear and the workings for a manual fuel pump...and my 2.3 is currently carbed...but the fuel injection can be a bit complicated...so it depends on what you have and what you may need on the engine to make it work with your setup.
