engine swap

my 1988 ranger 2.3l engine quit it is fuel inj. , Ihave 1988 2.3l carb motor can give any help with wiring ,plugs not same on motors

You would probably have to replace your computer and harness, because fuel injection to carbed is a pretty big change.

Im no expert on the subject, but my hunch would be you should find another FI engine, maybe try to trade the carbed one?

Given the choice, I would take FI over carbed any day. Carbs just dont run as good out here, too many mountains, they dont like the change in air density with the elevation changes or something like that.

Take the FI stuff off your engine and change it over on the carbed motor,same thing
