Engine swap... Place a 2.9FI in a 2.8 body?

I have a good '86 2.9lFI engine that I would like to place in an '85 2.8l body. All I have to do is swap out control modules (brains), wiring harness, and engines...correct? Everything else is the same...correct?

Duh??? I forgot about the fuel pump. Can I swap tanks/fuel pumps and then it'll work?

It should be plug and play. Same chassis and body. Install the whole tank from the donor truck and you are set to go.

Thanks for the reply. The only thing that was worrying me was someone told me that I would have to swap out the dashes as well as the above mentioned. I really just wanted to know how much work I was getting into. Does anyone have a comment on this?
