My credo
Confused and Intolerant
I know engines built differently make different sounds, but I wanted to know if I can get my engine to sound like this without a lot of money.

Or make it sound like a 2005 Ford F150 sounds like, if you get near the exhaust pipe of one, and hear what the air sounds like coming out, thats the sound I am really looking for.

I am lookin towards those sounds of that V8 or the sound of an older truck (like 1950's) style sound. I want it to sound country-used in other words, the kinda thing you'd see a redneck pulling up in that sounds like its solid, but leaking oil. (so to speak).

pull a spark plug and put a hole in the muffler and you are done.

well, most trucks that sound like that have a big cam in there there is a dude on youtube that has a v-6 that sounds like that ......... you need a ballin cam, true duals and prolly straight piped........... a stroker and headers wouldn't hurt, so it will be expensive for a ranger. if you want it ghetto go with kemo's idea.
